Concerns
Again, the keeping of rabbits is not easy to justify. One may enjoy the simple pleasure of rabbits’ companionship, but beyond this one becomes concerned with liberty and suffering. But “why should I subject myself to this unpleasant information?” After considering these issues, you may answer, as Julie did, that “I felt as if I had enacted an important witnessing of the miserable conditions of rabbits hidden away in exploitation industries.” This is also addressed in my letter to Allison.
